Official newspaper of  American Medical Directors Association

Over 42,000 Long-Term Care professionals involved in the continuum of practice needs rely on Caring for the Ages monthly in print and online. Readers include long-term care medical directors, attending physicians, nursing directors and supervisors, consultant pharmacists, geriatric psychiatrists and other health professionals including nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and primary care physicians focused on geriatric medicine.

After launching Caring for the Ages in 2000, AMDA partnered in January 2006 with IMNG, which produces independent reporting focused on impacting the way the LTC team practice medicine and news from the Association to keep members up-to-date on educational opportunities and policy initiatives.

Focus on AMDA and Long-Term Care Professionals
American Medical Directors Association: AMDA is the professional association of medical directors and physicians practicing in the long term care continuum, dedicated to excellence in patient care by providing education, advocacy, information, and professional development. Although the association's name reveals its origins, the reality is that AMDA has always served the interests of both medical directors and attending physicians. Because the vast majority of medical directors also serve as attending physicians, their issues have been inextricably woven into all of the association's activities.
